How to eat more seasonally

'The joy of eating seasonally is the joy of fresh produce and fresh foods' - Anne Lappe

You may be wondering what eating seasonally is all about? As the seasons change and the weather changes, the type of produce that grows also changes. Eating with the seasons really has a positive impact on the environment.  Not only are you supporting local farmers, but you are also helping to reduce the demand of out of season produce.   This can even help you to save money too.

When out shopping for fresh produce, check to see what shops offer locally grown, organic and plastic free options.  Pop some Moonmoon Produce bags in your bag and you are all set!

Perhaps you also grow your own fruit, vegetables and herbs in your garden or allotment?  Try freezing some in our reusable silicone bags or keeping herbs and cut items fresh with our beeswax wraps.

Hearty casseroles, soups, stews and some fruity crumbles are some great things to think about making during Autumn. As we inch closer to Christmas why not try experimenting with some seasonal produce in preparation for your Christmas dinner.
