It's Global Recycling Day! ♻

Global Recycling Day is an initiative to raise awareness of the urgent steps the world needs to take if we are to recycle more effectively for the benefit of the planet.

The goal of Global Recycling Day is to unite the world under a global approach towards recycling, calling on world leaders, international businesses, communities and individuals to make clear commitments in their approach to recycling.

Recycling is great for us and the environment because it lessens the energy we use, enhances the quality of water and air we breathe and helps to combat climate change.

How to make sure you are doing your part?

Are you recycling? Collectively we can all have an impact in looking after our planet. Recycling helps reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials and greenhouse gas emissions. What are you waiting for?

Enlighten others about recycling and it's benefits.  Show your gratitude to everyone who helps in recycling and popularising recycling as a major activity in their lives. Use social media to share about it!

Moonmoon is now a Terracycle drop off point!

We are happy to announce on Global Recycling Day, that we at Moonmoon have decided to team up with Terracycle!

Terracycle are an innovative recycling company that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste. Whether it's coffee capsules from your home, pens from a school, or plastic gloves from a manufacturing facility, Terracycle collects and recycle those hard to recycle items.

We are a drop off location for the Cheese Packaging Recycling Programme in Winchester, UK

It's quite simple to get involved! Firstly, collect your flexible plastic cheese packaging and nets (any brand), as well as labels from Cathedral City Minis packs of 6.

Then, drop them off with us and we will send it to TerraCycle® who will recycle them into new products.

Every time we send in your cheese packaging, we will receive points which will be redeemed as a financial donation to towards a charitable cause.
