B - Stock - Stainless Steel Lunch Box | Small 0.8L Metal Bento Lunch Box

I’ve got a few moonmoon things already. Decided to check out these… super pleased I did. I had to look really hard for the supposed defect lol!

Materials
I am very happy to have stainless steel instead of plastic. I feel confident that I can wash it with hot water and properly sanitize it without risking micro plastics. Stainless steel also retains temperature better than plastic or silicone so if I put the bento in the refrigerator it goes a long way towards keeping my lunch cold before I am able to put it in the fridge at work. In terms of food safety I think that's nice. The silicone seal is really effective but also really easy to remove and clean.

Weight, accessibility, and safety
It's 287 g according to my kitchen scale with the divider. It's definitely heavier than the plastic Tupperware I used to have but so much more space saving. The clasps are accessible, it doesn't take much force in my opinion to open or close them. One safety thing to be aware of is to never open the box perpendicular, always have the clasps to the left and right rather than up and down. I did something to my finger one time when trying to open it. I find it's best to have one palm on top of the lid as you open one clasp at a time. I'm guilty of trying to fit a lot in the box and whilst the bento will clasp there can be a lot of pressure when opening it up.

Size
0.8 L fits my wrap, apple slices, and an open bag of single serving crisps. It also fits my pasta salad, apple slices, and the crisps. I really like being able to fit all of my lunch in one container rather than having a bunch of small containers scattered in my backpack. It's also easier in terms of organizing myself in the morning.

Convenience
The removable divider is nice. It's easy to shift around, remove, and clean, and it is designed with a little foot at the bottom.

Suggestions
For newer versions or editions, I would like if the removable divider design was reworked because it tends to become a bit lopsided and then the salad dressing bleeds into the apples for example. The bottom is secured and it's not going to fall out but the top is not secured to the same extent which means if the bento tips in your bag or you're not able to fully keep it flat like a plate the components can bleed into each other. Maybe it could have little tension arms that could flip out and keep the divider 'locked' at a specific place. I'm not an engineer, could be a really bad idea in practice. But I do like that they completely come out of the bento so that you could use the entire space and for better cleaning.

Also a silverware attachment would be really nice. I'm currently tying my silverware to the bento with a bit of kitchen string but it would be nice if my silverware could be completely covered and attached to the bento. It's not a big deal when my silverware is clean but it is a bit gross to do that after I've been eating off my fork for example. The 0.8 L is not long enough for silverware, particularly with the divider inserted, and I believe my silverware is pretty standard sized. The 1.4 L can fit silverware but not with the dividers in place.

Summary
Overall, I'm really glad I bought this product. It's reduced so much of my stress in terms of organisation and cleaning. It's space-saving, sleek, and overall very thoughtfully designed and engineered. It was an expensive purchase for me especially because I bought a second one for my boyfriend. But I'm happy to make an investment in high quality materials that are durable and hygienic. Service was wonderful. The order was processed so quickly and the packaging was really sustainable.
