There is something incredibly nostalgic about the smell of cinnamon and baking apples filling the kitchen on a crisp afternoon. As we lean into the "Slow Living" ritual of winter, we’re looking for treats that are easy to prepare but feel like a luxury.
Our latest obsession? The Mini Berry & Apple Crumble. By using our 400ml moonmoon snack pots, you can skip the giant messy baking dish and create perfectly portioned, individual puddings. Whether you’re meal-prepping desserts for the week or looking for a sustainable way to bake and serve in the same container, these little crumbles are "right up our street.
We used our 400ml moonmoon snack pots as these are the perfect size for individual crumble portions 🥮
The filling:
1 Bramley apple (peeled & chopped)
Handful of frozen berries
The topping:
Plain flour & Brown sugar (equal parts)
Butter (added slowly)
A pinch of cinnamon
Method:
1. Fill your snack pot with the fruit base.
2. Mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
3. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until you reach a breadcrumb consistency.
4. Add crumbs on top of the fruit and bake until golden, around 25mins on 180 degrees.
Pro Tip: Once cooled, you can pop the silicone lid on and store these in the fridge for up to 3 days. They are the perfect 'grab and go' treat that you can reheat or eat cold with a dollop of Greek yoghurt!
