Apple Crumble

This apple crumble is the ultimate autumn dessert! Warm, comforting, and sweet, it’s perfect for family gatherings or a cosy night in. With just a handful of ingredients, you can whip it up quickly!

Ingredients

For the crumble:

  • 300g plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 175g brown sugar
  • 200g unsalted butter, cubed

For the filling:

  • 450g apples, peeled and cut into 1cm pieces
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon

 Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C Fan/Gas 4).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. In another bowl, combine the apples, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon, mixing gently.
  4. Grease a 24cm ovenproof dish and layer the apple mixture at the bottom, then top with the crumble.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbling.

Serve warm with ice cream or custard, or store in our reusable freezer bags for later! Enjoy!
