This healthy granola recipe will last about a week depending on the size of your family. It's super simple to make, tasty, and healthy!
Ingredients:
- 350g old fashioned rolled oats
- 130g raw nuts/or seeds (whatever your preference is)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 110ml melted coconut oil
- 110ml maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 130g dried fruit
Instructions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 190c and line a large baking tray with grease proof baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, start by combining your oats, nuts/or seeds, and cinnamon. Stir to blend.
- Pour in the oil, maple syrup, and/or honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well until every oat and nut is lightly coated.
- Pour the granola mix onto the prepared baking tray, and spread it in an even layer.
- Bake until golden, for about 21 to 23 minutes, stirring half way through.
- Once out the oven, the granola will further crisp as it cools.
- Once it is completely cool, break it into pieces and stir in your dried fruit.
- Store the granola in an airtight container, or in a sealed freezer bag.
This granola will keep for 1-2 weeks at room temperature, or can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
