Healthy Granola

This healthy granola recipe will last about a week depending on the size of your family. It's super simple to make, tasty, and healthy!


  • 350g old fashioned rolled oats
  • 130g raw nuts/or seeds (whatever your preference is)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 110ml melted coconut oil
  • 110ml maple syrup or honey 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 130g dried fruit


  1. Start by preheating your oven to 190c and line a large baking tray with grease proof baking paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, start by combining your oats, nuts/or seeds, and cinnamon. Stir to blend.
  3. Pour in the oil, maple syrup, and/or honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well until every oat and nut is lightly coated.
  4. Pour the granola mix onto the prepared baking tray, and spread it in an even layer.
  5. Bake until golden, for about 21 to 23 minutes, stirring half way through.
  6. Once out the oven, the granola will further crisp as it cools.
  7. Once it is completely cool, break it into pieces and stir in your dried fruit.
  8. Store the granola in an airtight container, or in a sealed freezer bag.

This granola will keep for 1-2 weeks at room temperature, or can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
